Kuksu: Korean Cuisine
This is a project from my sophomore restaurant semester. Kuksu is a Korean cuisine restaurant. The purpose of this project was to not only create a very modern space, but to bring new Korea to the United States. Kuksu is inspired by mainly modern architecture by Minsuk Cho but with modern translation of tradition Korean architecture. This space is also a place of education. Colors and shapes that are utilized in this restaurant are taken directly from the Korean flag. All models were created in Google SketchUp.

Pieces of the Korean flag are manipulated into the restaurant through both architecture and the color pallet. Both obvious and abstract translation.

Traditional roofs of Korea or modernized to create the boundary arch's of the tea bar.
